Putin says G20 final declaration mirrors willingness to cooperate

Putin100BUENOS AIRES, Dec 3 (PRIME) -- The final declaration produced at a recent summit in Argentina reflects the G20 member states’ intention to cooperate in the name of global economic growth, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters at the summit on December 2.

“The final declaration approved at the summit mirrors the priorities… It is crucial that the G20 countries state their common intention to coordinate their future work in the name of sustainable global economic growth, rising global financial stability, development of a multipolar trade system based on the World Trade Organization,” he said.

The G20 states have also confirmed in the document their obligations to use all political means to reach the global economic advance.

Putin also said that the G20 summit is unlikely to influence the global economy directly, but is still useful for coordination of mutual activities.

He added that although the final declaration is only general, but it is important that the members managed to formulate it.

The declaration has been put in the media and experts’ focus after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, which took place in Papua New Guinea in November, produced no traditional final declaration of the leaders.
